Air Creative Collection 11 Missing EQ, Compressor, Dynamics, Etc

Hello,

Finally went for the PT11 upgrade this weekend after a few months of waiting for my favorite plug-ins to release AAX compatibility upgrades. I knew it wouldn't be without a little heart ache though, so here I am.

I uninstalled all previous versions of PT, Mbox, Controllers, and plug-ins.

I downloaded all the required updates, registered on Avid, moved the codes to my iLok.

I have re-installed my Mbox, my controller drivers, latest version of PT10, and the new PT11. I opened the programs prior to installing any plug-ins as instructed in the manual.

Now I have downloaded, unzipped (without error on the 2nd try), and installed both the Avid Virtual Instruments 10 for PT10, and the Air Creative Collection 11 for PT11.

Here is the problem: now all of my Air EQ, Compressors, Dynamics (things like 7band EQ, Maxim, Limitors, etc) are all missing.

I have tried completely uninstalling these bundles, re-downloading, re-un-zipping, and re-installing, but these pieces are missing, and now I don't even have them available for my PT10 either.

AAAAHHHHHH!!!

What am I missing. Did they not continue any AIR EQ or dynamics plug-ins for AAX? If so, how can I at least get them back for my PT10 sessions until I find something better (maybe a waves bundle or something).

Welcome to the waiting for all to work.
Although I'm a Mac system all the Air creative do work in 11-
as do the avid eq3 and dynamics.

Other Avid paid plugs also have new installers (Audio_Plug-Ins_11_Update_)
V10 needs 10.3.6 or better (10.3.7)
V11 is 11.0.1 currently

HD also needs separate drivers installed. and 11 files are now in new locations accommodating V10 and 11 to work (separately) without re-booting.

So are you saying that the AIR EQ and Compressors don't come with the package like they used to?

I don't have "Audio_Plug-Ins_11_Update" in my downloads area for my previous version of PT10 or PT11, but I used to have these plugins working on PT10.

I have both versions of PT10 and 11 able to run just fine on my system, but I am simply missing most of the AIR plugins that previously came with PT10.

Is this something they are charging for now? If so, for shame!

Whelp - For no reason at all they AIR suite is now showing up in the sessions. I didn't re-start, didn't re-install, I was just looking around the internet for a solution...found nothing...went back and tried to open PT11 again and now they are they. The entire AIR suite is available. Yay!

But now it can't find the click plug-in! Wha? It was just there?

Any ideas? Not about to uninstall and reinstall again after this last AIR plug-in fiasco.

Also, here is one more new issue I've come across with PT11 and the MBox:

Previously on PT10 I was able to have the default sound on my computer play through the MBox and out my nice monitors and still open a PT session in any sample rate (44.1 or 48), but now when the Mbox is set to the default device on my computer sound, I can only open a session in 44.1kHz.

Ok, so is there any other way around this? Every time I want listen to something on my computer I have to change the default device to Mbox, and then when I want to work on PT I have change the default device back to the internal computer speaker.

Pain in the butt, yes!

But, also this creates a bigger issue too. If I have a PT session already open and I want to watch a video or tutorial for reference, now I can't hear it because it thinks the video needs to play out of the nonexistent speakers inside the PC tower.

Trying to stay calm. Any help is greatly appreciated

DAE is a funny thing. Sometimes you have to clear out the DAE prefs (or force ProTools to do this) before the app will recognize changes to the plugins folder(s) and load them properly. It's not as scientific as it could be. I often delete DAE prefs after major plugin installations and certainly when new plugins are being bitchy.

Did the click ever show up? I had an issue after installing where I didn't get any of the stock Avid plugins. Just the VI's. After a reinstall I was able to get the EQ3, Dyn3 and such. But the AIR plugins are still missing. AND I DON'T HAVE A CLICK PLUGIN!!!

Did it just randomly show up? Any thoughts? Thanks for any help!!!

They're all missing in Pro Tools 11?

1. Open a new window in Windows Explorer.
2. Double click the address field in the top, and delete the contents.
3. Enter this address: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Avid\Pro Tools
4. Locate the InstalledAAXPlugIns file and delete it
5. Launch Pro Tools 11

Pro Tools should now re-scan your AAX Plug-ins folder. Hopefully the missing plugs show up. If not, verify that they are installed. Check here: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins

ProTools 11 now hangs on start up, right at the part where is says Initializing Audio Engine...

I know what you mean about the MBOX and windows default sound device. In Pro Tools 10, it wasn't an issue. It is in Pro Tools 11.

You're just going to have to keep your built-in sound card as the default. That will clear up several problems you may be running into with Pro Tools hanging on launch and displaying sample rate error dialogs.

If this is an issue, and you need to use both system sound and Pro Tools simultaneously, you can run a 1/8" stereo to dual TS Y-cable from the line output on your motherboard to the line inputs of your MBOX and turn on loopback monitoring in the MBOX control panel. Or you can get a small analog mixer and use that. Not an ideal situation, but it is what it is.

I trashed that files, like you said. I tried to load PT11.1.0, and it hangs on the Loading Audio Engine. I was able to revert back to PT11.0.2, and it will now load without getting hung up.

Meanwhile, I guess I was mistaken. The Click shows up in PT11 just fine, it's PT 10 that has no Click. Also, none of the AIR plugins are in PT10, only 11. Is this normal? Is there some way I can port over the file from PT11 to PT10 to make it work?
