Latency Issues - Waves SoundShifter Plug-in

Need help with how to fix this latency problem. I just bought the Waves SoundShifter plug-in for $150. I have 6 audio tracks that I'm trying to apply an automated pitch shift at the very end of each audio clip. When I do this and play it back, each audio track is thrown off timing due to latency problems.

How do I prevent this from happening and still get the automated pitch effect I'm going for?

Hi,

I would bounce them to new audio tracks then move the audio to align it. Running sound shifter as a real time plugin will be difficult due to the amount of latency it needs to time/pitch shift audio.

Can you not audiosuite the clips? Or is automation making it not possible

Yes, use audiosuite, or perhaps increase the amount of delay compensation in your playback preferences. It may not be set high enough.

I have this plugin as well, almost 7000 samples latency, at 128 in playback engine. I use the AS version all the time and never notice a problem with the timing getting shifted. This is probably one of those plugs that isn't exactly 'live friendly'…..

I use this one a lot, put the plugin to every busses, and make sure u put the ones with no tune to zero
