Missing components after Pro Tools LE install
Hello:
My original post yesterday got deleted for some reason. Anyway, yesterday I asked why I am missing the following components after an Eleven Rack / Pro Tools LE install. I installed and then upgraded to 8.0.3 since I am running Snow Leopard. I am missing: 1) Structure, 2) Mini Grand Piano (can't find libraries), 3) Boom, (can't find libraries), 4) Xpand 2 is not working. There may be more missing or non-functional, but this is what we know for now. Any ideas? Thanks, Kevin |

Re: Missing components after Pro Tools LE install
Did you let the installer put everything in its default destination? Maybe you should uninstall and try it again?(did you follow the instructions to the letter, or just let things go like any "normal" hardware/software install)?

Re: Missing components after Pro Tools LE install
yes - i did everything by the book; even reinstalled it - same thing. i even had another Pro Tools user look at it; he said the stuff should be there.

Re: Missing components after Pro Tools LE install
Did you install and run a non Snow Loepard compatible version of Pro Tools before updating to 8.0.3. If your products are registered you should have a full installer for 8.0.3 in your avid account.
Do you have an option to customize the installer, maybe check all components are marked for install.

Re: Missing components after Pro Tools LE install
Yes - I installed the PT LE DVD that came with the Eleven Rack (8.0.1); then I figured out that there were some issues with SL, so I downloaded the 8.0.3 updater. I registered the PT LE and the Eleven Rack per the software installation and it came back and told me success; yet when I go to my Avid account it doesn't show anything about PT LE.
I would like to get a link to download a full image of PT LE 8.0.4 and not just the updater; like you mentioned, this may be why I am not getting those other components - right? |

Re: Missing components after Pro Tools LE install
When you go to the avid site, log in 'My Account', in the following list of options there should be an option for my products. From here it will show you all products registered to that account. As long as your Pro Tools 8 registered you should have an option to download the 8.0.3 full installer. From memory, initially you only see auth code and underneath theres a tiny link that says 'Show all downloads'. This should reveal all the Pro Tools 8 related downloads.
8.0.3 was the first Snow Leopard officially support release so it's possible the 8.0.1 installer is throwing a spanner.
