Google it, and you will find the answer. I honestly don't remember how I fixed that issue (it's been too long ago) but I do remember I found the resolution online

Also the DUC probably has those threads if you search them

Guys, price notwithstanding, which would you go with and why

i7 5699x or E5-2699 V3?

I guess you mean the 5960x?

Personally I'd say the E5-2699v3 is overkill for most users who are looking for a DAW rig. 18 cores / 36 threads sure sounds nice, but I doubt there are many people who can put that kind of power to good use.

You say "notwithstanding price" - well, then I'd probably go with the Xeon, as for use with PT the number of cores/threads beats the higher clock speed, so the Xeon will perform clearly vastly better than the i7.

But as the Xeon is about 4x more expensive than the i7, I'd definitely get the latter.

I'm still using the 3930K in my main rig and I hardly ever max that one out (and I am working with fairly large sessions with lots of native plugins).

I just jumped to PT11.2 a month or so ago... And I was really pleasantly surprised to see and experience the performance jump, my CPU power dropped dramatically

I should be about to rock this 3930k hard, for quite awhile also

Old thread but I don't think anyone else has covered this before in any of the threads regarding this topic.

I have one pcix core card running fine with an Asus p8p67 board.
i know PCI is not supported natively but the card passes digitest fine and works perfect.

Just to be clear I did order the Jetway mobo but I haven't swapped it out yet because Im waiting on some flex cables.
