Default ARA

Are there any plans to add ARA functionality? I'm still running 2020.12 here, but ARA would be a good incentive to update...

You've been around here long enough to know that Avid doesn't generally make public anything that may be added to PT. It's the old saw of 'those that know won't tell and those that tell don't know'. It's been asked for and certainly with the addition of Melodyne 5 it's a step in the direction of ARA implementation.

Yes. Take a look at what they did with Melodyne Essential lately, writing is on the wall. ARA (or something like that with a new name) should be on their roadmap.

The integrated Audio to MIDI function is a part of ARA already...
Do you remember what they said when license model changed? It would be better for users as new functions don’t have to wait for the next update cycle...
Well, I guess they split the whole ARA impact into a few slices to spice up some PT versions. That’s sad...
