Default Re: PT vs. Waves? Anyone else have problems?

It has been reported that for those of us who use multiple monitors and WAVES pluginns do not function (no gui) past version 8........this has not been fixed with the AAX update this news was extremely disappointing to me as I have been using 3 monitors with waves pluginns for years and now that as of version 9, there is no gui, their attitude is they never supported multiple video cards

this does not make me want to pay my WUP or invest in PT11 yet

I don't understand why all my other plugs work fine on 3 monitors but waves V9 doesn't if all other manufactures can do it but waves can't ?????

It was multiple video cards. I've never seen any problem with multiple monitors and have almost never used Pro Tools with a single monitor!

I've got two monitors (one card). No problem with Waves GUI. Currently PT10 TDM...

Three monitors require multiple video cards, Waves is the only plug-in company that can't hire coders smart enough to figure this out. They desperately need new talent at HQ.

I have a huge investment in Waves that is totally unusable.

sorry I was not clear, I can run Waves 9 if I uninstall one of my 2 video cards and use 2 monitors but I am so used to working with 3, I can't get my workflow rite and have chosen to stay with PT9 and Waves8 for now. I was REALLY hoping that Waves AAX would fix this new GUI/multiple video card problem, apparently not, I trust Tom@Metro

Nvidia geforce gtx 590 supports 3 monitors. tripple dual link dvi-i out

this would be your best bet to be able to run 3 monitors at once with waves plugins.

I have been told that Waves sees this as two Cards. Has anyone actually had this working?

It would seem that the best solution for this issue would be for Waves to hire any one of the coders from any competitor and just fix the issue once and for all. No one else has this issue.

Glad I didn't just buy one from eBay if that's how it works. I'm with Tom here how come every other plugin I own works fine with out any problem with 3 monitors other than waves V9 ????
