Default Trim Tool

Greetings,

I have a head scratching problem. I have several tracks recorded on my session. First track I recorded was the bed track, and I made it long just in case I would need more of it as the song ideas progressed.
Now the song is finished, I need to trim the extra length of my bed track. The trim tool is not working on it. I tried the trim tool on other tracks in the same session, it worked fine.

Could the clip be locked? Do you get any error messages popping up? Is the bed track looped? Is the bed track audio or MIDI? Can you make a short video showing the problem?

The bed track is Midi like the rest of all the tracks in the sessions.
I don't know if you call it looped but it's only 2 notes chord running from begging to end of the track. No messages popping up. Would that help?

What happens if you just separate the region and delete the bit you don't need at the end?

I tried that, you see that is trimmed but the MIDI notes are still there,
when you play, it's playing the rest of the track, funny.

I can just re-record the bed track, not a big deal, I know where to end now, but I was wondering what in the world is going on.
