Is there a way to ad a fade out to multiple Clips on a single track?

Sure you can. Cmd+F brings up the fade dialog, and there are also handy presets you can choose where one is called "Only fade outs". The length box is pre-selected, so just type what you want in ms and hit Enter.

Which version of PT is this? Version 12.3 introduced way more flexibility with batch fades.

The lack of a numpad doesn't matter. Select all clips > hit Cmd+F > to the right of preset numbers 1-5 it says "Factory default" > click that and select "Only fade outs".

Okay I will try that as soon as I get home tonight. Also, on the topic of editing multiple clips that are on the same track

Do you happen to know how to shorten the length of multiple clips that are on one track?

I saw on this forum people said:
-- Select the clips with the OBJECT GRABBER tool , then use
-- [Option] +/– to trim clips' start
-- [Command] +/– to trim the ends

But that did not work for me. Does that command only work with the +/- buttons on the numeric keypad?
