Use 192 with HDX?
Is it possible to use this combo with 1 HDX-card:
HD I/O 192 I/O 192 I/O 192 digital edit. Sorry, this one has been asked too many times I guess, and yes it still seems to work fine.

Isn't there a difference with latency between the HD and the 192? Also, can you hear a difference between the two interfaces? |

I would be very impressed if you could pick out which is which in a blind test. Golden eared mastering engineers can't do it reliably.

Re: Use 192 with HDX?
I ran 2 of each for the past 3 years and all was fine. As for latency, that will only matter if you record the same source thru different converters. I never heard any issues with drum mics thru lightpipe(Midas XL-48) and overheads/hat/ride thru the HD IO analog Both interfaces are totally capable of making hits, depending on pretty much everything OTHER than the interfaces
