Firmware Question

I just got my replacement 003 consol. I use both Mac and PC, I also use PT10 native and PT 9 HD. PT10 wants me to update from 7.0.3.118 to 8.0.0.314. There seemed to be a lot of people having 003 firmware/fader issues. I would like to use the 003 on bot platforms on both 9 HD and 10. This is a new unit sent from Avid using the Vantage plan hardware replacement. I don't want to update anything until I know what is working and will I have issues moving to different platforms and versions. Thanks

When PT asks you if you want to update the firmware, click NO or CANCEL and see what happens. It may work okay, or maybe some functions could be made unavailable, and you will likely need to click NO every time you fire up the system, but if it functions okay, roll with it

Thats what I am doing, seems ok. Kind of annoying. Everything seems ok, find out tomorrow in 9 HD likes it. I am sure there are people that bounce between platforms and versions other then me. Thanks man, I am going to hang tight for now, see if Avid chimes in.
