Default Re: HDX - go to tracking EQs and Comps

Sonnox is a definite go to for eq and compression. I also use the standard PT Eq7 and occasionally the Dyn3 dsp.

The Fairchild 660 and 670 are also great, dsp and easy. I don't own the rest of the Classic Compressors bundle but they are good as well.

The Sonnox "Warmth" feature is great on the dynamics plug. I own the Inflator and Limiter, both dsp, but I seldom use them.

There are a surprising number of Avid dsp plugs that are fine sounding, but I don't always care for the interface.

Best...H

Default HDX - go to tracking EQs and Comps

Another AAX DSP emulation plugin for recording thru HDX that I tried and is great, is the Bx_console, it has a wonderful eq and you can change the channels of the console also, that imparts different tolerances for the eq as well for the compressor and the expander. It also has a pre amp noise emulation.
Pretty good t track with it.

I demoed the plugin alliance Elysia mpressor plug for aax dsp today and I'm really impressed. It responds like I expect a compressor to respond. Ill be buying it when the demo runs out.

Absolutely true. I don't know why this company isn't talked about more. Plus, it's native and DSP.

Pick up their "Thump" plug-in as well... It's free.

The MHChannelStrip is also one of the VERY few AAX DSP plugins that's not 33 samples or more of added latency. It's only 9.

Will spin up the TubeTech Channel tomorrow - from my memory this one is the smother one but its been a while.

Luckily, I actually already owned these

I like the Grand Channel as well.
