Default Deleting playlist lanes

Is there any way to delete multiple playlist lanes in one go? I am aware of right clicking and choosing delete, but this only deletes one at a time.

Select multiples, then hold shift+alt (shift+opt) and right-click then select delete

mesaone,

Thanks for the response. However, I must not understand.

I am unable to select even a single playlist lane (directly in the edit window or in the track list), much less multiple playlist lanes.

I can right click on the lane name and a menu pops up, but I am not able to select the lane. Am I missing something?

When you click on the button (to the right of the track name, in the edit window) that gives you the options to create new playlists etc, you'll notice an option at the bottom of the menu for "delete unused".

Select that option, and a box will appear, listing every unused playlist in the session.

Highlight as many as you like, either contiguous (shift click) or non-contiguos (Command / Ctrl click) - just be sure they're one's you definitely don't want to keep - and hit delete.

EDIT :

Oops! I misread the thread title as "Deleting unused playlist lanes".

Anyway, I don't think you can delete multiple "in use" playlists at once, unless there are already alternative playlist available to all selected tracks.

You can of course select all the material in multiple tracks, and clear it all at once, which may be effectively what you're trying to achieve. Alternatively, you can delete multiple tracks at once, but that's probably not what you want.

Thanks for the clarification, Carl. I was aware of what you first mentined, but that just deletes the playlist and not the lane, as you mentioned.

Once I am done comping (or have narrowed things down to 2 or 3 alternate playlists that I want to save), I tend to have several empty lanes. It looks like these no-longer-used lanes must be deleted one by one.

I tend to do this a lot so I was wondering if there was any trick I was missing. Apparently this cannot be done.

This used to work, but it no longer seems to since I've updated to 12.6

Is there an on/off setting somewhere for this?

I can confirm that this used to work but is no longer working. I have just submitted a support ticket for this. I will report back with the outcome.
