thanks for trying this suggestion. Do you have your wireless network adapter disabled in Device Manager? Also your config is very similar to AchimHamburg who solved the -9129 problem by disabling the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" in the device manager. Please give this a try as well and let us know.

Did you happen to disable a 1394 net adapter? This should remain enabled. Are you testing with a single track and no plug-ins? Please test under these basic conditions in order to reduce variables. Also, monitor the Windows > System Usage meter for CPU spikes or any strange activity..

Which model is this Toshiba?

Problem
(Try to create a session or start up a saved session and then black screen and system reboot)
I have been using digi 001 v6.1 for about the last year on this computer with (0) problems. Thought I would upgrade to digi 002. I can’t get it to work.
First I tried installed the fire wire card hooked up the 002 and installed v6.1. Software installs fine. Reboot…. Open program and I get to main screen, Try to create a session or start up a saved session and then black screen and system reboots.
I have tried to uninstall program and re install= same problem
I have tried to uninstall program and install V 6.4 =same problem
I have tried Dep fix= same problem
I have tried to use a via chipset compatible fire wire card= same problem

The control shows “open or create a new session" and seems to be communicating.
Thanks for the HELP

Another user found he had to disable the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" in the device manager to relieve CPU errors in this thread.

That fixed it. PT runs seemless even with network enabled. What a relief! Thanx a lot.

Maybe this should appear in the answerbase.

Kind regards

Achim

Default Re: BAD_POOL_CALLER

All drivers updated. BIOS updated. CS9 update verified.

Still no fix.

While I appreciate your timely replies to my problem, I'm beginning to believe that I'm going to need some serious hands-on technical support. I need to do whatever it takes to get this $4,000 system up and running and I'm at the limits of my diagnostic abilities.

How do I proceed from here? Can I send you the computer for diagnosis? Do you have authorized local diagnosticians? Can I trade this for something that works?

Frustrated but hopeful,

Scott

To voysit and neeel,

Please confirm if the DAE errors still occur in diagnostic startup mode. We posted instructions on how to enable diagnostic startup mode in the first page of this thread.

thanks,

Hi Digi,

This made not a lick of difference. As I mentioned before, my performance is just bearable.

However, I can only achieve 24 Tracks on the Davec test (not sure if this is digi sanctioned but seems to be the standard around here) compareed with 32+20 or so from the AMD folk among us. In addition I can and sometimes get sporadic 9094 and 9093 errors yet to date I have not been able to detect a steady pattern.

I am going to buy another drive as a matter of course. This will be then dedicated to audio instead of the partition arrangment I have at the moment. I am hoping for an increase in performance from this.

my sisandra system specs are listed above
Hi Digi any other suggestions?

neeel
