Default Pro tools first error

Hey guys, whenever I start Pro tools first i get this message: "Could not complete your request because Access violation occurred, unable to read location: 0x0000000000000000." I´ve tried some "solutions" I found on the internet, but none work. Can someone help me ASAP?

Hi Pedro Daniel,

Just want to ask at what specific point does the error occur? Like is it while loading a plug-ins?

Best Regards,

YD

I got the same error:
By me it happens when I start a new song or use a template song.
---- error ---
Could not complete your request because File or folder not found (-43)
while creating "Pro Tools" while creating "Project Cache" while creating "Yx9Ik9cnd1GJMZNwg6Kw7c"
-- end error ---

I reinstalled Protools First. No improvement.
I made a new Account and iLok account. No improvement.
Hope anyone can help.
Regards,
Dingenis

This same thing is happening to me. I see that there are a few others that have posted about this too. Error reads as follows:

Could not create a new document because Permission denied (13) while creating "Project Cache" while creating "N1fkOtxKlT9MC_nhfumPMd" while creating "R_t-fMyBc5DT6F2qk6ppcd.ptproject".

I'm running OS 10.10.4, using the UAD Apollo twin.

Some of the posts talked about resetting permissions using permissions reset. I've done that on the users/shared/protools directory and the /library/application support/avid directory as well and still same error.

This happens when I create a project. The application loads fine and I can get to the create / open project dialog screen.

Im having the same issue

Open protools First, it prompts me to create a new session (or load one), I give one a name and create then...

this error pops up.

Could not create a new document because Permission denied (13) while creating "Project Cache" while creating "bTUpF0x3ofoL7k2NxSM3uc" while creating "hKi8qIZpnDpTCH5h4NpK_b.ptproject".

This is typically seen on Mac systems where permissions are set incorrectly.

-Get Info on the Pro Tools folder in Documents
-Set Privilege it to Read & Write for your user account. (Check the Project Cache folder inside the Pro Tools folder to make sure the change was applied)

Best Regards,

YD
