I presume if 88 is fixed 96 will be ok as well, but i'll test that individually later again. That's enough for now. And good news!

Horrible!
The Pro Tools First 2018 crashes and burns!
Totally unreliable!
If it starts, it won't save, or crashes before you get there.
Most often it is stuck on "Scanning Plugins"
Looses connectivity to that stupid cloud, so I lost a lot of recorded material.
If this is Avids way to promote Pro Tools as a professional tool...
I am having serious trust issues here. No way of telling wether my creative time spent in protools will actually survive.
I am going back to my PT 9, as soon as my dead dongle is replaced.

This seems like a troll, sorry.

One post, to come and bash, without giving extra info.

well in your profile thankfully you have your machine, which shows you are using an unsupported OS with windows 7.. Also, your cpu makes mine look like a ferrari, and mine are old too.
6gb ram and you wonder why a program that REQUIRES 16gb minimum, is crashing?

And no details exactly what you do to make it happen.. no ask for help, just slam slam slam? How can we take this seriously?

if you are being serious, calm down and give us more info, and people here WILL try to help you get running, even with your unsupported OS and ram.

Considering many of us have been running it every single day since release and it's been solid, it DOES point to YOUR machine being the problem, NOT pro tools 2018.1

Something must be wrong with your Computer/OS.

Same here. I've got Pro Tools 2018.1 running on a 2010 Mac Pro with High Sierra 10.13.2. HDX/UA Octo PCI cards.

I've been tweaking a huge 5.1/96k mix session all weekend and it has performed flawlessly.

I am having sluggish zoom ins and outs + scrubbing is not accurate. I am on a Mac Pro 6,1 + 10.13.3. Everything is seems to be working.

Two days with 2018.1 on two Win 7 laptops and one Win 7 desktop with only one issue that may be related to that laptop: once when stopping playback with the space bar the midi playback of VI wont stop. This is something that happened 2-3 times on 12.* also. Didn't crash either. I just hit the spacebar to start playback again and stop using the mouse on the transport button and midi playback stops. I think a lot of those having issues may be experiencing issues that would be alleviated by following the Read Me's and Optimizations and the installation guides to the letter, including memory needed, etc. I did have long downloads to update but I kinda figured with a new update this big that the load on Avids servers was probably high. Anyway, I'm happy so far, especially since I don't want to move to Win 10 until I absolutely have to.

PT 2018.1 runs great here. No crash whatsoever. Love it!

The big test will be recording 16 tracks at 24bit/192Khz for classical orchestra and choir work I have scheduled for this summer.

Not to sound harsh but if you're using Pro Tools First then you can't be that professional. Pro Tools Native 2018 runs great for me. The most stable version in years.

well to be fair, even though the poster seems to have come in to bash then disappear, i think they are using first as a demo to see whether to upgrade to full from their older PT version.
