Default Re: Please Help: New Avid PCIe Card added to old Core and Accell cards not working!

It actually occurred to me to do that too, so I did, and same thing. No worky! So that tells me that it is definitely the cards. The system profiler on the Mac says that all the slots are working when all the cards are in, and of course the older Accell card slot works just fine with the older card in it. Still at a loss. Not sure what to do but I just thought you would want to know that I tried what you suggested... Thanks.

R35... Is that a component on the card itself?

Lightbulb Re: Please Help: New Avid PCIe Card added to old Core and Accell cards not working!

It's not covered under warrenty because it can only fall off when the card was installed and was likely applied with a little force?
I can repair it for $75 (next day turnaround) (( labor only ))
I believe avid charges $100 plus shipping and more for express
Advance replacement is around $200+

I knew it was the problem because I've fixed it to many times already

If you choose you can reach me via the link below

Exclamation Re: Please Help: New Avid PCIe Card added to old Core and Accell cards not working!

Cool
Be carfull if attempting this repair yourself
There circuit traces surrounding this part if a micron of extra solder slips off the pad or component it will short and man you'll be hating life

It takes SMD tools to rework it correctly, a soldering iron will work but will also over flow this small area with solder to adjacent pads

Good luck and reach out if you need it repaired

That's a really good deal. I think Avid charges alot more than that for a card no longer under warranty. Over $300 I think.
