Default Programmers look here...

If I change the startingletters of my Plugins, PTLE loads them in an other order. Couldn´t someone of you smart guys just write a string of code (like the Macguys have it) so I could get my Antares plugins and then the Bombfactory plugins, with a cute little line between them? Or are we not as cleaver as they are?

It would be nice to be able to organize them the way you want to.

I looked into it breifly at one point. There is a file I found that seemed to contain the information, but I didn't play with it enough to figure out if I changed the order in the file if it changed the list order.

It's not a text file either, so it's slightly more complicated to play around with.

I may try and look at it again this weekend since I'll be batching it (ie: Fiancee is out of town for the weekend)

Just tested it - it does work in Win98 as well! Just put your plugins in subfolders [Antares, Bombfactory, IKMedia, Timeworks etc.](and I suppose you can sort them buy function as well EQ, Compressors, Reverbs etc. It doesn´t work with Waves though since they just direct to another folder...

GW,

Unfortuneatly the Fiancee didn't go out of town as planned because of bad weather (Winter Storms) so there were things on her list for me to do other than play around with the studio. hehehe

I'm shooting to look at it in the next day or two now.

I'm guessing that it may require a Dummy Plugin in order to put the dividers like that other tool for the Mac does. This would probably require the SDK from Digidesign to do this as it would probably need to be a valid empty plugin that got loaded during startup.

Maybe I'll try and ask them for the SDK. If I remember right, they are picky on who they give it to. I've just started playing around with the VST Dev kit too.
