MBP- OS and PT upgrade advice

I’ve been working smoothly for about a year now with this system-

MBP 15", 13,3 (Late 2016 "Touch Bar") | 2.6GHz | i7 Quad| 16 GB RAM | Radeon Pro 450| OS 10.13.6 High Sierra | ProTools Ultimate HD Native 2018.12 | OWC TBolt 3 dock | dual Dell U2410s | UA Apollo Twin | JBL 7 Series |

I’m between projects and this would be a good time to upgrade the OS to 10.14.x and go to PT 2019.x. I’ve done a good amount of research on the DUC and web about the upgrade and I’m worried about the fan noise issue that some folks have brought up. And also concerned a bit about the CPU hit that changes with edit/mix window display. (seems Mohave fixed that for some folks though) Does anyone have new info about the screaming MBP fan problem or additional advice on the software updates? Your time and info is appreciated.
