Default Best motherboard to use?

Hi Guys

Am working my way round to getting a machine set up for Digi001, but am a bit confused by the motherboard specs I've been seeing. Basically, so far I've looked at systems with a Transcend S370 133MHz Motherboard, which I know compares favourably with Intel 440 BX stuff. But does anyone know how (or if!)it performs with Digi001? Would I be better just going for an Intel mobo?
Also, does anyone rate the 618AS Motherboard?
I'd appreciate any guidance you'd have to offer on this!!

Eanna

The 815e Chipset is by far the best chipset for Intel setups today. Intel motherboards are great because there made and tested by the same manufacturer as the processors. The Intel D815EPEA-2 is the standard motherboard I use to build systems and is has been the most compatible. For more information on this motherboard check out www.intel.com
