Do you have the vst-rtas wrapper? Then you can use the vst plugins.

zir-
its crossed my mind to get the vst wrapper. which tape saturation plugins are available on vst that you can use with the wrapper?

joz-
i think you're talking about the DUY EverPack RTAS. i read up on it and said it doesnt come with the DUY DaD Tape, but the DUY DaD Valve, plus others. unless the Tape plug is sold seperatly or with another bundle for LE systems that im not aware of. it would be really cool for them to make some trial verisons for us to try out also.

thanks for the response guys.

You can use Steinberg's Magneto, but there are more similar plugins.

Far better is this: download Revolverb for free at http://revolverb.hostrocket.com/ and then you can use the impulse response from a real Studer A80RC. This sounds amazing! This sample gives the real sound of a compressing tape-machine, only the sound but no compression. You should use this plugin 100% wet. You have to put a software compressor before this plugin to get compression.
Beamsonic made a few impulse responses of this great sounding Studer A80RC. If you are interested in this I can send you the impulses because his site is down for a while.

All I can do is the link to Beamsonic: http://www.geocities.com/beamsonic/
But it is not active at the moment.

I am new to this forum, is it not possible to send a private message?

I don't believe there is a DUY TAPE for PC. Only Mac.
They have some of the other DUY software for PC though.

What about Izotope Ozone? Hasn't that plugin got a tape saturation effect?
I'm sorry if I'm wrong!

Hey, zir, if you email em to me, I'll post them up. That looks cool. [email protected]

BTW, the page says revolverb isn't supported by AMD processors. Is something bad going to happen if I try to use it with mine??
