Agree. Heavy RX7 user via AAX, Audiosuite, and Connect. Not a hitch on my Mac Pro trashcan (Mojave) since updating PT to .9.1.

I've tried re-installing both to no avail. Contacted izotope support on Tuesday, still haven't heard back. Very disappointing. Guess I'll have to upgrade to RX8 and see if that works...

Upgraded to RX8 Advanced last week and ironically got a call for a large month post production mix project from LA. Series of EPI's. Did a bunch of work on RX8 Advanced non-stop thru the weekend long days. NO issues here at all.
Seems to run just fine and I do like a lot of the enhancements.. Especially the Loudness Control update which works fast for quick exports of the latest specs.
Running Mojave, which was an update from Reg Sierra last year.
2020.9 HD Ultimate.

Just observing the other posts. It seems that those that have RX7/RX8 working are running Mojave, while you are having problems on Catalina. Perhaps the the plugin is not yet compatible with Catalina. Do you have an extra drive to install and boot Mojave, Protools, and RX7/RX8? If so, that may get you through the project for now.

Avid should be able to code their own video engine that doesn't rely on quicktime after all they are also a video software company. To me its odd that you can import video but it can't import the audio from the video.
I thought the 5.1 macs were not going to able to run Catalina ?

They are able, the keywords for your search engine are : "dosdude1 catalina patcher" and / or "opencore catalina mac pro"

and also this thread: Opencore on the Mac Pro

ALTOUGH, the way I did it, and a safer way - is using a Chainloader.

Mavericks?! Holy cow, dude. That hasn't been updated in four years. There's your beachballs. Earliest Mac OS supported for 2020.9 is High Sierra. https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/ar...tibility-Chart
