Direct Monitoring on MAC

I haven't made the leap from PT9 to PT 10 yet. However, I saw in the new features blurb that PT10 supports Direct Monitoring for 3rd party audio. Does anyone know if that is for Windows AND Mac? Hopefully it is for Mac because those monitoring issues have kept me from using PT9.
