Default Marking trouble spots on the editing screen

How do you make a mark in the edit screen for places that need to be redone/punched in..I saw people at a pro studio I was at doing this...Just wanted to know how to do this...Thanks

Just press the numeric pad 'enter' key.. the marker dialog comes up.
