Default Upgrade from Non-HD Monthly to HD Monthly

Hey Guys, cant find the information anywhere....

I rent the PT12 software, and now i saw that i can rent the PT12 HD software! Great!! - But how can i upgrade my current subscription to HD ?

Do i have to let my current subscription expire (august 2017) and pay for a HD license on top? Surely thats a bit unfair, and there should be an upgrade option?

Would appreciate some help, as i am sure a lot of people will be in the same boat as me... Thanks!!!

Call Avid and ask, but the response most likely is that HD subscription is only annual, not monthly. However, if they are fair, they would change your monthly non-HD sub to yearly HD sub. Downside is obviously you need to pay for the full year at once.

There must be 1000's of people renting pro tools 12, and would like tp pay an extra 60 dollars a month to get HD - surely it makes good business sense to make that an easy thing to do??

HD is yearly, not monthly
