Focsurite Scarlett 18i20 not works

Hi all!

Firstly, sorry for my english, i don't use to use it.

Well, my problem is that two weeks ago I bought a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 since then i can not work with protools.

First time I instaled drivers seemed that all works well... For now, Scarlett works well with Ableton Live but Protools doesn't recognize the interface.... I have tried everything....

Install current versions of Scarlett Mix Control and drivers, Install Beta versions of Mix Control and drivers, unable interface in my Windows client... Nothing have worked......

Some one can help me?

Try pressing and holding N while starting Pro Tools and see you can select the 18i20 then. Can you post your full system specs?

I'm using an 18i20 here without issues. Although there are some setup oddities.

I'm new to the forum hello : )

I've been having the same issue with my 18i20

I was using an MBox mini with no issues.

I have installed the USB drivers version 2.5xxx this didn't work

Uninstalled these drivers then tried the beta audio driver version 3.2b2

Holding N did nothing?

Have you got any ideas?

By the way

I'm using a PC running windows 10 Pro 64bit

Pro Tools 12

8.0 GB Ram

Intel I7 2.7GHZ

Some more info for you

Since installing the Beta drivers the Mix control doesn't work it says "no hardware connected"

I can use the Scarlett to play music from my PC fine when I set it as the default audio device

Ignore all my messages I think I've now done it! : )

In settings/manage audio devices - the recording tab was set to the scarlett I defaulted it back to the computer microphone then opened Pro Tools and it all seems to be working...for the moment : )

Ok, good to hear. If Mix Control is saying no hardware, then it is not a Pro Tools issue.

Generally, I disable my interface completely in Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices as I don't want Windows touching my interface.

Just to be clear, you are referring to two different downloads correct? The Mix Control app and the driver are not bundled together in the same installer.

The Mix Control app and driver have to be made to work together. If the driver installs a firmware upgrade to the interface, the Mix Control app needs to be updated too. Download both the latest beta driver and Mix Control apps.
