AAE -9013 Error message

Hello to all, I have an ASUS laptop, 4 G Ram, running 11.3.1

So all of a sudden, I get this error message during playback. Playback just stops.. Surprise!

Error message

AAE's Memory is running low. Please try to increase AAE's Preferred Size (AAE -9013)

I'm hoping I inadvertently clicked on something. If I click ahead of the point where the system stopped working and try to play, the message pops back up.

The session is just for practicing a vocal.. three tracks, 2 audio & one instrument.

I've got 128 on the buffer as I was working on vocal.

I appreciate any and all thoughts. Everything was fine yesterday, and even earlier in the day today. richrdC

Glad you got it sorted for now. What is troubling is that 4 gig of ram you have - you really need to have at least 8 gig if not more than that. 4 gig is barely enough to run Windows and PT by themselves let alone doing any substantial work.

indeed, you should have a minimum 8gb ram.
But we need more detailed system info to help.
What processor? Recording to a separate hard drive?

Yeah, I know.. New laptop is gonna come but for now, the music can still happen.. Ya can't add ram to this laptop. I think if I were to upgrade into the 12.xx , I might have to. This Asus has been great, but I was reading abut Lenovo, P50 I think. Anyway, thank you for the comments.. take care

Any off the shelf computer, especially a laptop, is a crapshoot for PT work. You're going to need a new machine no doubt about it. You'll only frustrate yourself with your existing machine.

I've kinda been surfing around looking at different rigs and I've seen that Lenovo P50 being used by a few people. Of course, I might just go desktop up in the studio, and leave this laptop around for basis family crap..Take care, richrdC
