Default Pro Tools 12 on macbook pro with 8gb ram

Hello,

I've used Audition for years but am starting on a collaborative project where everyone else is using Pro Tools 12. I saw it lists 16gb of ram on the requirements, but will it even run on a machine with 8gb? Not sure if anyone has tried on specs under the required limit.

Yes it runs on mine.
Small to medium size project will do, haven't tried it on big projects yet. An of course, it depends on how much VI you are using with big sample libraries

yep running fine here too — macbook air 8gb ram (full specs in sig). i don't use many vi's; for mixing it's great.
