Question Pro Tools not showing all plugs

I bought an old Mac to get away from Windows for PT this week. After installing everything, testing it, I started to install the few plugs I have and not all of them are showing up in Pro Tools--Rtas nor Audiosuite. Maybe 2 out of 6 have shown up.
It's been a long time sense I used PT on a Mac and I'm wondering if I'm missing something common to fix this.

Pro Tools 6.4 with both updates on OSX 10.3.8

HI,

welcome aboard.

plug-ins not showing up can have several reasons:
1. the are only AudioSuite and not RTAS (PingPong Delay, Invert etc.)
2. the are only Mono, showing in the multi-mono Effect-Insert Menue
or only on Mono Tracks
3. they are not compatible with PT 6.x
you need to check the version manually Release Notes/ App Information)
PT 7 changed the RTAS Engine, so 7.x Plugs won´t run on 6.x

best :)

I have stated that RTAS nor Audiosuite plugs are not showing.
They are older plugs, so they are compatible. Doesn't matter if the track is mono or stereo, shows nothing on both.

Studio Devil plugs which claim to work under 10.3. Amplitube, drumagog and pluggos are fine.

Not sure which "Studio Devil" plugs you have - but their website states that the Studio Devil Amp Modeler Pro - is NOT RTAS compatible

None of them claim to be "Audiosuite" compatible - audio units yes...

Studio Devil Virtual Bass Amp (VST, AudioUnits, RTAS)
Studio Devil British Valve Custom (VST, AudioUnits RTAS)
Studio Devil Virtual Guitar Amp (VST, AudioUnits, RTAS)

Studio Devil Amp Modeler Pro is not RTAS. The guitar and bass is, but not showing up in the lists.

Pro Tools 6 has a different plugin folder than 7 and 8. Since the Studio Devil plugs are newer they likely get installed to the NEW default folder.

Well, they are in both folders. App support>library and app>digidesign. Can't imagine where else they should be.

OK, Tried Guitar Rig 2 and T-Racks 1.2 yesterday that I picked up from a guy on craigslist, real stuff. They also do not show in Pro Tools, but GR works fine as a standalone.

dpm's seem to be the plugs not showing up. Double checked the specs, all compatible, checked the install folders, all good. Things are as they should be...in theory.

Any ideas?
