High Sierra graphic freeze

Having tried the exact same PT session on the same Mac on macOS 10.13.3/PT 18.7, and then on 10.12.6/PT 18.4, I’m convinced that 10.13.3 and the Mac Pro trashcans don’t play nicely together. There are occasional (and sometimes frequent) graphic freezes. All apps continue to run, and sound continues to play, but the system beachballs and it’s impossible to interact with the GUI. Lasts about 20sec. And it sometimes happens in other apps besides PT. I officially regret going to High Sierra, and am now wondering whether to go to the effort of downgrading, or simply suffer until Mojave is approved, which could easily be December. Anyway, I’m getting my work done on an imperfect Sierra boot drive.

I have had the exact problem nowadays with High Sierra (version 10.13.6) and a trashcan. A lot of crashes, I thought it might be something with Eucon, but even with Eucon devices disconnected I have random beachballs errors.

Must say; today I worked with Videoslave for my video and I didn’t have any crashes. Maybe a solution for Pro Tools, but my Première also works worse than ever..

In the middle of a few projects, so can’t reinstall the Mac...

Thanks for corroborating. I've had it happen while checking my email, so I know it's not an issue limited to Pro Tools or Avid. There are reports on Apple's forum, too. But it's not clear why.
