Post Avid Expands in Boca Raton

Overview
  • On July 6, 2015, Governor Rick Scott announced that Avid will expand its North American administrative headquarters to Boca Raton.
  • This new office will largely serve as a hub for many of our back office functions, including Finance and Human Resources staff.
  • The expansion is planned to take place over the next three years, and our Boca Raton facility will ultimately house approximately 100 administrative employees.
  • Being close to our key clients is an important consideration in Avid’s facilities strategy. In the future, this location can also serve as a gateway to our Latin American customers.
Additional Questions

Q) Why are you opening this office?
A) Expanding to Boca Raton gives us access to one of the top growing talent pools in the U.S. and gives Avid a gateway to our Latin American customers that we haven’t had before.

Q) What kind of roles will be housed in this office?
A) We’ve targeted Boca Raton as a hub for administrative functions such as Finance and Human Resources. However, we will always evaluate how to make the best and most efficient use of the facility for both the benefit of our customers and our operational efficiency.

Q) Are you closing any offices?
A) No. Our Burlington, Massachusetts location remains Avid’s global headquarters, and all other current North American offices remain open.

Q) Does this announcement have any impact on your product development, services, or support staff?
A) No. We are primarily housing administrative back office functions in Boca Raton. Our customers can expect that the same teams who build and support the Avid platform and solutions will continue as they do today.
