Default Recommend me a video card

Hi guys,

I need a new video card. It has to work well with Protools LE (I hear most do), make ZERO noise (no fan), have a DVI output (maybe 2), and make DVD's look nice. Currently when I play dvd's it looks terrible!

Can someone recommend the cheapest model that will do these things for me?

(my current model is nvidia GeForce MX 4000)

Thanks!
Adam

Hey Adam, take a look at the Matrox P750. I think they're in Montreal. It only has one DVI though. I use it with 3 VGA's with PT's (it's nice to have plugs and stuff on a 3rd monitor out of the way). Have been for about 3 yrs now with no problems and very quiet. You can also confiure it for 2 mon's and 1 fullscreen tv out (S or composite) for quicktime.

Nice.
I may go for the P650 cuz it has no fan.

Here's a question. My current (vga only) video card has 128mb of memory, and the video/dvd quality is SH*T. Switching to a DVI card (even one with less memory) will be a drastic improvement, right?

Thanks guys
Adam
