Default Side chain gain control - but not ducking

It seems as though this should be straightforward, but I'm not finding a solution.

I want to control the gain on an aux input via the side chain. I already know how to do ducking with a compressor, but what I want rather than that is to have the channel's gain mirror the side chain signal's amplitude.

In other words, with zero amplitude on the side chain, the volume would be at -infinity, and with 0 dB coming in it would be up at 0 db. Talk louder into the side chain, my signal gets louder.

Thanks.

Sidechain an expander/gate on the aux from a send of the voice track.
It is just a matter of tweaking range and threshold to achieve an acceptable result.

Thank you many times over. I have a number of compressor plugs that also do expansion but never knew what that was good for.
