Default Tempo

I have midi files that were written twice the speed it should be. So if it's at 240 and I want to change the whole song to 120. Is there a way I can change that before inserting the midi into pro tools, during or after? I know you can use the tce tool thing to shrink it but that's time consuming and tedious.

Default Re: Tempo

Import the midi files into a 240 bpm session. Then change the session tempo to 120. The midi files(which default to TICKS based), should follow the session tempo, whatever you set it to. Once you have it changed to 120bpm, save and close. Then open the session that you want to use the midi in, and Import Session Data from the first session(have your tempo set to 120 before the import). That's how I would do it, but I bet there's other options from the midi experts here(I'm more of a Midiot)
