No sound on Protools SE, may be due to converting .ptf to .wav?

Hi everybody,

I have limited technical knowledge so please bear with me!

I have had protools se 8.0.3 for a year, but have only used it for the past 2 weeks. It worked fine, apart from now and again making a "fuzzing" noise for the past 2 weeks. Then, yesterday, the sound completely stopped working. The day before, I had converted one file from ptf to wav. All of the files now have no sound, including the one which I converted and any new sounds I am trying to record. The sound is still working on my computer, and I have tried many different headphones so it is not that. When I try to open the file I converted (and also the unconverted copy of it) it comes up with a message saying

"1 audio file, 0 fade files, 0 video files, 0 rendered elastic audio files are missing. Would you like to: skip all, manually find and relink, or automatically find and relink. Or, regenerate missing fades without searching, or regenerate missing render files without searching."

The sound waves patterns are visible, but there is no audio for any of the tracks I have recorded.

Does anybody know how to fix this?
