Cannot record from inputs 3/4 in protools 7

I can listen to the input of analog audio via my Delta control panel, but I cannot capture audio from those analog inputs in either ProTools 7 or Audacity. Those programs cannot find the analog 3/4 inputs, but can record from the Mic1/2 inputs.

How can I route this input? I have tried the patch bay, but any combination I try fails.

Your programs have to be set to receive audio from 3-10. Inputs 1 & 2 are set up by default. You may refer to the software manual or the developers technical support for details on how to do this.

In the Delta Control Panel under the Monitor Mixer tab, make sure your Volume Level controls are all the way up to the top to 0.0db and that nothing is Muted or Soloed. Under the Patchbay/ Router tab, make sure you have Monitor Mixer selected under H/W Out 1/2. Then, in your audio application, disable any option for software monitoring and you should now be able to hear everything.

SO, THE QUESTION IS: HOW CAN I DISABLE SOFTWARE MONITORING WITHIN PROTOOLS 7, SO THAT I CAN RECORD FROM THOSE INPUTS?

I can still hear everything, but neither software will record the darn tracks!!!
