Dear Dave,

Thank you for your response, as I have provided a detailed .pdf that should more accurately describe the recurring issue, as well as be better formatted for this forum. Please advise if I can provide you with any other pertinent information, and thanks again for all your help!!!

Hi, Pepsy.
I can't really offer any direct advice, but I looked thru your very detailed pdf and noticed this:

Macintosh HD:
Capacity: 999.35 GB (999,345,127,424 bytes)
Available: 12.9 GB (12,899,143,680 bytes)

It seems your startdisk is flowing over.
That you should look into right away, I think.

Also, I haven't read your PDF, but judging by the size of your system drive, it appears to be a platter drive.

Could be tired and slowing.....

Maybe a good idea to snag a SSD for your system.

Also, why so much on your system drive? Wy not all your audio/libraries/sessions/data on separate drives?

I have 3 production machines and keep my system drive as stripped down as possible. On all machines, a 256GB system drive is sufficient. And if it weren't for some software wanting to keep additional content on the system drive, I could use an even smaller one.

I attempt to STRICTLY have the OS and Programs installed on the drive. Nothing more. The rest goes on dedicated drives.

I don't trust spinning drives for more than 2 years. As a rule of thumb.
They do start taking a performance hit over time.

Total oversight on my part, as obviously this would be one of those Homer Simpson "DOH" moments... Am rectifying the situation as we speak. Thank you again so very much for all your time, help and analytical observation which, of course should resolve the problem. If you care, i'll let you know what the results are…

Have an Xcellent Day!!!

Yes, increasing the amour of free space on the system drive rectified the issue. Thanks to all for you help and consideration.

Hopefully I won't have to, but if so Next time I post, I will leave a more standardized list of details required for you good folks to better aid/troubleshoot.

Again, my deepest thanks and sincere gratitude.

Have an Xcellent weekend!!!
