Default PT 2019.6 & OS sierra 10.12.6? In the real world?

Avid says PT 2019.6 & OS sierra 10.12.6 are compatible according to Avids chart.
So who is running this combo and how is it working for you in the real world?

Currently running PT 2018.12.0
Late 2012 Mac Mini 2.6 Ghz i7 16 Gb Ram
OS Sierra10.12.6

Its ok but its still no as stable PT10...

Thanks for any input.

I've been on macOS 10.12.6 forever and PT 2019.6 the week after it came out. Great combination. Responsive, reliable. Big sessions can stay open for hours without issue. I tried 10.13.6, but had beachball problems and went back to 10.12.6. Those problems may have been unique to my setup.

Compared to the days of PT10, I really feel it's the 3rd-party plug-ins that cause trouble. If you look at Altiverb funny, it will crash any version of Pro Tools.

2019.6 has two minor bugs:

-playback glitches while editing anything with more channels than mono while in playlist view (this bug has been around since maybe PT12, but wasn't there in PT10)

-loss of visual selection very occasionally while moving a selection around via Eucon.

I had the same OS-PT combination as you, upgraded PT to 2019.6 last week, so far working fine.

I have the exact same machine, same amount of RAM with an SSD running Sierra and 2019.6.

2019.5/6 are the most stable versions of PT I’ve run in a looooooong time.

Had no problems with the 2012 cheesegrater in my profile when I ran the combo of PT 2019.6 and OSX 10.12.6. That was with a 100+ track session where I did my version of Tubular Bells. Ran that until I got comfortable with PT 2019.6 and updated to OSX 10.13.6. Since I went that route things have also been stable and a bit snappier since my system drive is an ssd mounted on a pcie card in the slot next to the video card.

Keep using your Sierra setup until you need to / want to start using NVMe SSD drives. In which case skip High Sierra and go for Mojave

I'm getting a lot of 9093 errors since 2019.6 (ultimate, hdx, 10.12.6), I've had no 9093 issues before 2019.5/6. Other than that it's working great. I intend to stick to the cheesegrater/sierra combo and whatever PT version runs best until I get rid of the HDX system and go native.
