Default Elastic audio not working - Unknown Exception in Task Manager

I can't get Elastic Audio to work in PT11. It's the last thing preventing me from migrating from PT10. Whenever I enable elastic audio, I get an error for each clip that is sitting on my elastic enabled track - this error appears in the Task Manager. It says Analysing Audio | Unknown Exception (<name of my clip>)

The clip fails to play when any elastic parameters are changed, e.g. if the track is in Polyphonic mode, change the pitch of the clip etc.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this problem?

I am using PTHD 11.1.2 on PC, I have an RME fireface 800 interface. The PC is a Dell Precision t-3500, CPU = Xeon 3.4 Ghz, 12 Gb Ram, Windows 8 64 bit

Thanks :)

ok, sorry for the lack of info. my Sandra Report is below

I'm not sure I can describe the problem in any more detail than I have already. I am running a co-install of 10 and 11. I have no trouble running sessions in PT10HD with Elastic Audio - this problem is on PT11 HD only.

:)

Default Re: Elastic audio not working - Unknown Exception in Task Manager

Also, I have tried all the suggestions in this thread:

http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=348678&page=6

to no avail. I still get the same error.

I have also tried completely removing and re installing PT11, including deleting all the directories left behind by the uninstall.

Strange that EA works in 10 but not 11. If you install only PT11, does EA work properly? I'm just wondering if the problem is due to you having Windows 8 with a co-install. PT10 isn't officially supported in Windows 8, but you could search the forums to see if there are some additional optimizations that people have found to allow both versions to work in Windows 8.
