Default scsi UW/160

I have a new G4 dual 500 on the way and I think I need a new scsi accelerator. I have an Adaptec 2940UW now. Posts from a year ago said this will work in a new G4. Adaptec said it will not. Will it or won't it? Also I saw that the Adaptec 39160 dual scsi160 was slated for testing last year. Is there any more word on that card?

Sorry i think this went to buy&sell first.
Guy
