PT12 HD I/O panel change

Am I missing something or is it now impossible to have a session open and overwrite the current I/O settings. In PT11 and below there was a check box to enable/disable this but in 12 it seems it's disabled and you then have to recall the I/O from the session in the I/O panel.

I've been looking for a preference or something that has changed and can't find it.
