Default Firewire controller for the 002 rack

I got an used digi 002r, my PC does not have firewire, so I was wondering what firewire card I should get that works well with the 002 and also has good driver support so that I can use it with Visa and Win 7 x86 and 64 bits.

SIIG FireWire PCIe - NN-E20012-S2.
That's a known good card. What else might be wrong with your PC? Be forewarned that some details can be show stoppers. Integrated graphics is one. Certain chipsets(Northbridge&Southbridge) can be another. And you need a separate hard drive for recording. With Windows 7 64 bit, you will need to run 8.0.5 or later. Starting with PT9, the driver is a separate download and install(do it BEFORE installing Pro Tools). If you are going with PT8, when you install Pro Tools(assuming you will install either 8 or 8.0.3) DO NOT connect the 002 when the installer asks for it(actually have the firewire hooked up, but leave the 002 powered off). Instead, just click OK and let the installer finish and reboot. Then, run the 8.0.5 updater and when the updater asks for the interface, turn the power on for the 002, wait a few seconds and click OK for it to finish(and reboot again). After that last reboot, open Pro Tools and have your authorization code handy(the code starts with "DIGI08.......").
