I have done everything the you recommended on the other thread. This started right after I installed Andrew Schepps OMNI CHANNEL , and updated all the waves plugins and then rescanned them all.

Pull the Waves Shell out of the plugin directory and see if it goes away. At least you could confirm that it is related to the Waves plugins.

AAE = Avid Audio Engine
AAX = the plugins
CFicAAXWidget.cpp is possibly the plugin scanner ("cpp" is just compiled C++ code extension)

If pulling the waveshell works, uninstall all the wave plugins, restart, reinstall all the waveplugins. Make sure after uninstalling that they are truly all gone (sometimes older waveshells will stick around)

Also: Are you running Pro Tools as an Administrator? And where did you get "2018.3.1"? we're only up to "2018.3.0"

I vaguely remember having to reinstall Waves Update Center and all my waves plugins through WUC when I upgraded to 2018.1. Something to try.

Ok , I did everything. I always run pt as admin. And yes just 2018.3. still no go.

Did you try it without the waveshell in the plugin folder? You haven't mentioned that. That should have been tried before trying to reinstall Waves. (to find out if it is an issue with a plugin)

Nevermind. It has to do with audio playback configuration. unplug, replug the audient. reinstall drivers.
