Default Digi 002r and OSX Yosemite working

Just in case anyone was wondering…..

I updated my late 2011 mbp to Yosemite (10.10.1) and am able to use my 002r. Still need to do more testing, however I was able to open Ableton and Logic (both 9 and X) and could playback audio using the 10.3.3 drivers. Gonna test later with recording.

All I did was:

-manually removed all previous digidesign/avid files
-rebooted computer
-installed 10.3.3 drivers
-rebooted
-attached interface and selected 002 in preferred DAW

So far so good. Just thought I would post this.

Please note that I DO NOT use Pro Tools. I am only using my 002r interface to connect with other DAW software (Logic/Ableton).

Hi Simon - I have installed the drivers but I don't see anywhere to add them to the Apple Audio MIDI setup app or see it from my recording software. It is showing up in the MIDI section. Any thoughts? thanks

Did you manually remove all pro tools files? I followed the guide below to do so....

Hi Im going to get Logic pro X, and I have a dig 002 rack mount. I want to use the dig 002 and my audio interface. Is the digi 002 compatible with logic pro? All I have to do is update the drivers?

Read the first post as to what I did. So far its working fine for me. I guarantee nothing, however it's been pretty solid. The link I posted before your post is the guide I followed to make sure I was able to remove all digidesign/avid files. I was using my interface on Lion so I removed all previous driver files before trying newer ones.

For anyone who cares about using their 002/003 with PRO TOOLS on OS X Yosemite, this is not a solution.
The 10.3.3 driver ONLY works for Pro Tools 10, not PT 11.
And PT 10, while it seems to launch, has MANY issues in Yosemite that will likely never be fixed because it's unsupported.

You could choose to use the latest 003 driver 11.1.3 that, while unsupported, still DOES work with the 002.

There are CPU issues and some strange connectivity issues, but it does make the interface recognized by OS X as well as Pro Tools 11.3

I never presented this as a solution for Pro Tools, or anything for that matter. Just sharing what I did to get the interface recognized by Logic/Ableton (as stated in the OP).

Not saying you were! Just making sure anyone reading this doesn't take it as meaning that Pro Tools will also work with that version of the driver and the 002/003 interfaces.
