Default OLD FastTrack

I just bought a brand new six-core Mac Pro, and I'm setting up my audio software and hardware, and I discovered that my trusty old silver M-Audio FastTrack doesn't seem to be working right. ProTools 11 does recognize it, but if I output through it, the audio is all distorted. This is a really ancient interface, and I looked around online, and it looks like it's not supported anymore. But it was working fine on my previous computer, with ProTools 10, and I just thought someone might know of some kind of workaround. I tried using the firmware for a more recent FastTrack model, but no dice.

I know it probably seems ridiculous to use such a crappy old interface on such a nice setup, but it was working fine up until now so I'd rather not toss it. Plus, the new Mac Pros don't actually have any built-in audio inputs, so I don't have any in's right now! I'll have to buy a real interface at some point, but I can't afford any more big ticket items right now, so I'm just looking for some kind of temporary fix.

What version of OSX are you running on the new Mac, and is it this FastTrack?

I'm guessing you probably have a new OS then there are drivers for.

My OS X version is 10.10.2. I'm not sure exactly what version of the FastTrack I have, but the label says, "FastTrack guitar | mic recording interface M-Audio," and it has one TRS input and one XLR input, and one stereo output, and no MIDI jacks.

Yes, I did try that driver, and sadly, it just said something like "Device is not connected."

If anyone is interested, I just bought a new USB hub, and suddenly now the FastTrack is working fine.
