Before what? has anything changed?

You really need to post some more info, like what version of OSX, what version of 7.4, what kind of computer?

What do you have connected to the inputs?

I started to have this issue when i upgraded to 7.4 from 6.9
digi 002 - G5 power Pc 2.5 2gig of ram
1/4 " cables for keys
and xlr cable for condenser mic
it happens on every channel i select.
so i have been muting the channel before i put it in record mode to avoid damaging my speakers.

*everything is already connected all im doing is record enabling

thanks

you could try the cs9 update for PTLE7.4:

7.4cs9

Why are you still on 10.4.1? I don't have any info about OSX updates that might be causing the problem, but that version of the OS is at least 3-4 years old. If you can do so without creating other problems for yourself, you might want to update to 10.4.11.. I'm just thinking that 7.4 might have never been tested with that old version of Tiger. Maybe Digitechsupport could comment on this...

If you do update OSX, then use the COMBO updater, NOT software update...

10.4.2 was the first version qualified for use with Pro Tools, so that could be the problem.

Have you tried the basics, like trashing preferences?
