Default Error codes help!!! 9132-9073-9128

Hello everyone

I have been recording for some time now with no issues, but as of late i am experiencing 3 error messages consistently during playback and bouncing.

(-9132) Bounce handler cannot keep up.
(-9073) DAE cant get audio fast enough. your drive may be too slow or fragmented, or fire wire drive could be having trouble due to the extra bandwidth or CPU Load.
(-9128) You are running out of CPU power remove some native plug ins or increase the CPU usage limit in the playback engine dialog.

I'm hoping someone can provide a laymans term step by step direction on how to fix these issues. They are driving me crazy and really holing back my progress currently.

Thank you for checking this out and i appreciate any help you can offer!!

My set up

Mac Mini
8 gb RAM
1 TB memory
pro tools 10
ez drummer
ez keys
Avid 11 R

Mac mini
Memory 8gb ram
OS X Lion 10.7.5
1 Tb of storage hd
1 tb of storage external hard drive

Pro tools version 10.3.10

My interface I'm assuming would be the 11 rack which I use for recording and playback.

I I am recording on to the Mac mini hard drive. I save my sessions on the desk top.

I get error message when play back or bouncing. I only use this computer for recording no other programs are installed.

Saving your sessions on the desktop means that your external drive is doing nothing. If the internal drive is an SSD, this is probably okay(and you can save copies of sessions to the external drive for backup). If the internal drive is a spinner or a Fusion Drive, that's a likely source of all your problems

Thank you for your help. i do have everything backed up on the external but still access every session from the desk top. Should I delete everything on the desktop(after backing up) and the open from external drive? Is there any way of make sure my Mac mini drive has been cleared completely? Someone had made mention of wave or cache files that might be slowing down the drive.

I was also told I should defragment the drive. Do you suggest this? Once again thank you I will try what you've suggested so far.

I would start by getting a new fresh SSD in a external chassi as they are relatively well priced nowadays or if money is too tight a 7200 spinner inside a Usb3 chassi and start recording to that drive and keep the one external you have now as only backup.

Spinner drives are very cheap now so getting one as dedicated recording drive is less than $100 including a usb3 chassi.

No green power saving drive or blue drives, Many here would recommend WD Caviar Black 2-3 TB so then you have a clean fresh drive to use only for recording sessions to.

The internal drive is probably a 7200rpm (we hope) and using a spinner as both recording and OS and Run PT from is too much to ask these days.

We still don't know what exact Mini the op has but my guess reading the tea leaves is it's a Mid 2011. Those came with a stock 5400 rpm 500GB drive; configurable to 750GB 7200 rpm or a couple of options for ssd's. And also either an i5 or i7 cpu. USB2 and FW800 and a single Thunderbolt port. So any USB3 solution is not usable.

What's throwing me is he states a pair of 1TB drives; one external but is the other his system drive? We don't know and he isn't clear. This is why giving complete system info is paramount.
