Default PT 6 with AM III and serial?

Has anyone got the PT 6 to work with
AM III and the serial port as midi transport?
Perhaps I need to buy a USB PCI card?

stealth serial ports are no longer supported.

What does stealth mean?
Can I install a PCI card with USB port?
