Default Shortcut Help

I'm relatively new to Mac. I'm reading the shortcut to show transport in Command + 1. I'm doing this but nothing is happening. Am I doing something wrong. I have alos tried the option key and the control and cannot seem to make my transport appear. Please advise.

Thank you.

- Kelly

You're using the 1 key on the numeric keypad on the right hand side rather than the 1 above the qwerty keyboard right ?

No I'm using the 1 at the top the keyboard I don't even have a numeric keypad on the right. It's a Mac Book Pro if that helps. There must be a way for me to do this. Thanks for your help.

The shortcut only uses the 1 on the numeric keypad.

Old Macbook Pros had a superimposed keypad that you could access when holding down the FN key; the little numbers were actually written on the letter keys.
For some reason Apple decided that people didn’t need that functionality any more and did away with it.

This article might help, but I haven't used the KeyRemap4MacBook program, so I don't know whether it works with Pro Tools.

I solved my problem. I bought a wireless keyboard with a numeric keypad. Now the shortcuts are right there for me.

Thanks guys.

hi,any chance you could explain how to use that? I'm on a wireless keyboard and would like to have my shortcuts back!
I downloaded KeyRemap4MacBook but can't figure out how to set it up.

I assume you'd rather not, but thought I'd chance my arm anyway! :)

Thanks
Steve
