Default MIDI Controller creating two of the same notes?

I recently purchased the Alesis Q25 Midi controller to use with Pro Tools. Whenever I record any MIDI, two notes are printed created for every time I press a single note. They're pretty small notes (see screenshots below) but it throws everything off and I have to go in and delete all of them which takes about as long as just drawing all the notes in would take. Any thoughts? I am running Pro Tools 10.3.3 on a Macbook Pro.

I've seen things like this before, you might be recording two channels of midi from your keyboard at the same time. Check the midi input for your track and select just one channel from the keyboard.

Make sure your Midi keyboard is setup properly... assigning a single channel per track will in effect only allow one midi channels data so it should separate the double key hits, but that is setup on your MIDI keyboard. Set your keyboard to factory default and you should be able to use "all midi channels" as the selected input.

Could also be a feedback loop in the MIDI setup - PT echoing back out what you're playing. Easy to see that if one is trying to use sounds on a MIDI keyboard that is inputting the MIDI. You'd need to enable 'local off' on the MIDI keyboard. But that shouldn't happen on a controller only keyboard but still something to investigate.

After touch is also a concern for the keyboard - reading and getting to know the manual for the alesis is a biggie
