Default PT MP9 & ProFire 2626

I'm looking for some insight on limitations I may encounter using PT MP9 with an M-Audio ProFire 2626. I see 96k is the max sample rate for Pro Tools however I've seen some info. stating I might not get this when trying to record with all 8 analog input channels at once on the ProFire 2626. Can anyone provide some insight on this and if it's true or false?

Thanks!
